Don’t wait to be an expert!

Thursday we had an Early Release professional development opportunity where as Lead Learners, Dr. April Adams and I facilitated a conversation about connecting through Twitter.

Our session agenda was intentionally developed to include links to resources for participants to review as they work to develop their Twitter profile as well as begin organizing with lists and collections. The most exciting part of our day was when we held our first ever #lpsleads chat! Using professional development time allowed us to model chat tips face-to-face with participants and help them navigate this sometimes overwhelming process.

Check out a few of the great responses we received from across the district as we discussed connecting as professional learners and as a tool in our classes:

The conversations were rich and engaging both in the face-to-face setting as well as online. Not bad for our very first Twitter chat and I would have to say that it definitely will NOT be our last! Thank you to everyone who participated during our chat and as shout outs when they were available. The power of social media was certainly felt and will continue to grow throughout Liberty Public Schools!
