Gather Student Evidence via Pear Deck

In our current online environment, we are working to answer teacher questions about engaging students. To help, we have started offering “PD Snacks”, which are short 20-30 minute Zoom or Google Meet hangouts where we get together and talk about how we can engage our learners at a higher level. Our first session was to help others use Pear Deck to gather student evidence in order to make instructional decisions.

Pear Deck is a great tool to engage students in learning. You can run via instructor paced in a face-to-face classroom or a Zoom / Google Meet video conference OR you can run it student paced, where learners  interact with your instructional materials and answer questions along the way. You can see responses on the teacher dashboard in real-time, allowing you to make instructional decisions based on student evidence.
